All properties are either served by public sewer or a private septic system as its means of wastewater disposal. Properties that are ineligible for public sewer service must complete satisfactory water table tests and percolation or sand mound testing to establish a sewage disposal area on the property before it can be considered buildable.

🆕 The 2026 Wet Season has not opened. Montgomery County is experiencing significant, lingering rainfall deficits and is in a severe drought per the US Drought Monitor
However, applications can still be submitted for the 2026 Wet Season. Please follow the submission guidelines as outlined in the 2026 Wet Season Memo. An announcement will be made via email and on the DPS website when the wet season opens. Please check back here for updates.
