How it Works

Permits must be applied for via paper application. You may submit in person at DPS offices during normal business hours or by mail. A non-refundable permit fee must be paid at application. Acceptable methods of payment are credit card, check and cash. Cash and credit card is only accepted if paid in person.

How it Works

A sign variance application package may be submitted in person or by mail. Incomplete application packages will not be processed. To obtain a hearing date the applicant must submit:

• Sign Variance Application
• Sign Drawings (including size, dimensions and design elements)
• Site Plan
• Photographs of the subject property and surrounding properties

How it Works

A formal variance request is filed by the applicant. DPS will process the application package and schedule the applicant for the next available Sign Review Board hearing. The Sign Review Board meets once a month.

How it Works

The Sign Review Board normally approves or disapproves a variance request at the hearing. Occasionally, the board may require additional time to consider testimony before a decision is rendered.
