Montgomery County Code, Section 7.6.4. Sign Review Board

Chapter 59, Montgomery County Zoning Ordinance

Purpose

The Sign Review Board reviews variance applications and grants variances from the sign regulations of the Montgomery County Zoning Ordinance.

Membership

The Sign Review Board is a five-member board appointed by the County Executive. At least one member of the Board must be an architect licensed to practice architecture in the State of Maryland, at least one member must be a person operating a business in the County and three public resident representatives. All members must be residents of Montgomery County.

In addition, a representative from the Department of Permitting Services serves as the staff liaison to the Board.

Members serve three-year terms without compensation.
